From Mid-Face Overfilling to Full-Face Overfilling: A Heartbreaking "Correction" Experience

She originally booked a consultation with me for mid-face overfilling.
As soon as she entered the clinic, I sensed something was amiss. Not only was her mid-face showing signs of overfilling, but why were her temples and pre-auricular cheeks also puffy? This didn't quite match the description on her appointment slip.
I gently asked her, "Have you had any other treatments done elsewhere during this time?"
She replied somewhat sheepishly, "Yes. While waiting for my appointment with you, a friend recommended a doctor, touted as a 'master of de-overfilling,' saying he was incredibly skilled, so I thought I'd go see him first."
She continued, describing how this "master" immediately identified her mid-face overfilling, appearing very professional. He then told her:
"Absolutely do not inject fillers into the mid-face again. However, your sagging cheeks need lifting, and outer contour fixation is your best option."
Immediately after, he injected 10 units of Ellansé into each temple and each cheek.
- So, the current situation is this:
- She was originally troubled by overfilling in just one area, and specifically spent money hoping to improve it.
- She visited a "master" who was supposedly best at treating overfilling.
- The result? After the treatment, her entire face became overfilled.
On her consultation form, I regrettably had to change one word for her:
Mid-face overfilling → Full-face overfilling.
This case once again reminds us how crucial it is to choose a professional and experienced physician on the journey to beauty. Improper treatment not only fails to solve the problem but can even make the situation significantly worse.
