"Doctor, can this still be salvaged?" Ellansé Lumps Caused by Incorrect Injection Techniques

Recently, I encountered three very memorable cases, all with similar experiences, so I'll explain them together.
One patient received her first Ellansé injection three to four years ago, hoping to improve mid-face hollowing. However, one day, her apple cheeks started to develop a "hard, protruding lump." After inquiring at the original clinic, she was advised: "Let's inject another syringe to smooth out the surrounding area, and it won't look prominent anymore."
The result... the lump grew larger.
Returning again, she was told: "Let's add two more syringes to lift the nasolabial folds and tear troughs, and the overall appearance will be smoother."
Consequently, what started as a small irregularity transformed into — "two super-large apple cheek masses" on both sides, becoming even more noticeable when she smiled, pushing out two distinct bulges.
Honestly, I was quite stunned when I heard this. Using Ellansé to treat problems caused by Ellansé is like choosing to add more fuel to a fire.
When she came to me today, she asked only one question: "Doctor, can this still be salvaged?"
The answer is yes.
These types of lumps, caused by "incorrect layer placement + overfilling + improper injection techniques," can be completely resolved using a minimally invasive approach. Our goal is to thoroughly remove the material, restore the natural contours of the under-eye and mid-face areas, and allow expressions to return to a soft, natural state instead of looking "stretched."
Treatment should make people look more natural and feel more comfortable, not make them increasingly fearful and hesitant to smile with each additional injection.
If you also have an area on your face that just doesn't look right, and seems to get stranger with every "correction"—please remember: true expertise isn't about "how much you inject," but rather, "if you can put it in, you must be able to take it out."
